BSPC has been training post-doctoral and post-masters clinicians since 2014. In addition, we have also provided pre-licensure supervision to clinicians moving to MT who are licensed in other states or who have recently completed their formal post-doctoral training year. BSPC Training Model, Philosophy, and Training Goals

The post-doctoral/post-masters training model at BSPC is founded in the belief that accurate and specific case-conceptualization skills are the basis for effective and ethical treatment. Our intensive supervision is designed to build these skills and challenges trainees to work at the highest level of their training. The inclusive group practice dynamic offers trainees access to input and support from all providers in the group, ranging from early-career colleagues to those with decades of experience in the field. As integral members of the BSPC community, trainees are given responsibilities equal to staff psychologists/counselors and are asked to participate in weekly group meetings as respected peers.

A unique aspect of the training opportunity at BSPC is that it takes place in a group private practice setting, rather than in a clinic, counseling center, or hospital setting. In addition to the clinical and theoretical areas of focus, trainees are exposed to important aspects of managing the “frame” of the therapy process, including scheduling, insurance billing, patient payments, and other important components of the therapy work. Should the position feel like a mutual ‘good fit’ (for the trainee and BSPC), continued employment beyond the training years and therefore access to the benefits of working within an engaged group practice is a possibility.

Finally, the added benefits of living in the growing community of Bozeman, MT are difficult to quantify. Access to nature is literally minutes away, and the benefits of being a ‘university town’ are evident with cultural and intellectual activities throughout the year. See the following links for more detailed information about our community: https://www.visitmt.com/places-to-go/cities-and-towns/bozeman and https://visitbozeman.com/.
